The Design Process
Initial Consultation
The key to the success of any project is the Initial Consultation. When we meet for the first time, I will take the time to learn about your wishes about how you want to use the space, your personal style, lifestyle, and aspirations. We will review the scope of project, discuss your needs and your expectations, the budget that you are working with, and the timeframe for the completion of the project. Following the consultation, I will send a proposal to you outlining the project as I understand it, with an estimated budget that I will develop for the FF&E and my associated design fee.
Concept Presentation
Following the acceptance of the proposal, we will meet again for the Concept Presentation. I will share the overall concept and floor plan for the project with you including several selections for furniture, materials as well as finish options. This is a very collaborative stage where your feelings, insight, & feed back provide extremely important guidance to ensure that the project moves in the direction that you envision
Designs and Details
Once you have approved all of the concepts, we will then move to the Designs & Details stage. It is at this time that I will present to you all of the designs, furniture, materials, finishes, & accessories for your final approval. I will also present a detailed and fully itemized breakdown of the project costs in line with the agreed upon budget.
Vision Realization
The final stage of the process is Vision Realization. A schedule of work will be outlined and agreed upon, work will begin, and I will keep you updated throughout the process to ensure our designs are being carried out to their exact specifications and that the project is progressing as planned through to completion. When you walk into your space & realize that the needs and aspirations that we discussed, envisioned & agreed upon throughout the project are no longer a dream but a reality...the project is successfully completed.
